I had all sorts of theatrical ideas in mind but I decided to attempt and illustrate a very simple “theatrical moment” in the life of a child who is engrossed in his imaginary scene. Hope I did it justice =)

I really liked this drawing but ended up going with this one as an entry.
I’ve never had a cat, but if I did, I bet I couldn’t get it to jump through a hoop unless it felt like it =).

I had this idea of drawing someone who wanted to fly away so bad that they envisioned being able to do so by puffing their cheeks as much as they can.

I came across this really great project called Illustration Friday that is a weekly illustration challenge. I’ve been drawing a lot recently and decided this would be a great way to slowly pave the way towards my (not so) secret dream of illustrating a children’s book.
And so, without further adieu, here’s my first entry
